Something that used to frustrate me endlessly as a new mom was getting a great picture of my precious little one! I've put together a quick tip list for capturing special moments.
Working with children can be challenging, but luckily with today's technology it's not always impossible to get some good shots of children being children!

Apps
While it's a good idea to download a few different apps for editing, having just one app for taking photos is essential. You don't want to be stuck swiping like crazy searching for your photo app! I use the camera app that came installed on my iPhone, but I use PicTapGo, Lightroom, PS Express and a few more.

Where to focus
For children, being on their level and aiming for the eyes when taking a photograph are helpful. Additionally, getting down to the child's level may allow you to capture entirely new angles.
Turn off that flash!
While it may seem that more light would be helpful, the flash feature can wash out photos or cause unwanted reflections.
Action
Burst mode is helpful for action shots (or the toddler that won't sit still). To activate on the iPhone, tap and hold the shutter or volume up button. The burst automatically saves to your camera roll to be culled through later.
Remember to have fun!
